Our Vision
The Rock School of Ministry is a hands on approach to equipping college age students to impact their generation for the Kingdom of God. Our prayer is for students to set apart a season of their lives in order that they may draw closer to God as well as grow and mature spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. Students will be stretched to grow in ways they may never have imagined through biblical teaching as well as hands on life changing experiences. As a student at The Rock School of Ministry students will be involved in three core areas, Academics, theInitiative and theSyndicate.
Our desire is that students will learn to encounter God through living a life of holiness and spiritual power, to learn to love people through discipleship and evangelism, and to change culture by living disciplined lives and serving those around them.
Our Pillars
As a part of The Rock School of Ministry students will be required to be involved in the following three areas, Academics, theInitiative, and theSyndicate.
Academics
This area of involvement will include all of the students academic endeavors through Global University.
theInitiative
This area of involvement is the hands on portion of the School of Ministry. Students will serve in different ministries around The Rock church, as well as attend LIfe Changing Events or LCE’s. This area will also include local, national, and international missions.
theSyndicate
As being a part of theSyndicate students will join the REAL612 family as we worship our God together, pray for the lost of our city, and spend intimate times in God's presence.
Our Core Values
We believe that in order to change the culture of our generation students must develop personal core convictions. We believe that God has called us to develop the following core values here at The Rock School of Ministry. These core values are enforced and developed through all of our activities whether it is team building/workout, classes, retreats, missions, or events.
Through developing each one of these core values we believe that students will be equipped to go on to college or begin life with a firm foundation in the things of God and to change culture through living counter culturally.
Holiness- Throughout the bible, we see Jesus spending his time in prayer. In view of this, we are committed to having lifestyles of prayer, fasting and godly living. Hebrews 12:14
Spiritual Power- Throughout the bible we see the power of God working to change the lives of those who love Him and follow Him. We are committed to living lifestyles of spiritual power to advance the gospel, impact others and to change our culture. Matthew 10:7-8
Discipline- In a culture that runs rampant chasing their own desires, we are determined to live life reflecting Jesus Christ, through spiritual, physical and mental discipline. Mark 12:30
Evangelism- Jesus charged each of us to make disciples. We are committed to training and putting into practice how to effectively share and demonstrate our faith. Matthew 28:19
Discipleship- We believe living in community is essential to furthering the Kingdom of God. We desire to be disciples of Jesus and also to disciple others in the same way. 1 Corinthians 11:1
Serving- One of the greatest lessons Jesus taught us was to serve one another. With this in mind, we desire to spend our time serving those around us. 1 Peter 4:10
